This is another image from the Erie Zoo. This is one the most simple images I've ever made and it required almost no post processing. The Leopard walked to the middle of his enclosure and looked up through a skylight. When it did, I made this image. Exposing for the highlights, the darker surroundings turned to black. I have gone back many times and cannot believe that I made this image in that spot!
At a rehab center, a Saw Whet Owl basks in the sunlight and catches some z's.
A male Prothonotary Warbler posed out in the open on multiple occasions on one of my visits to Magee Marsh in Ohio but I kept missing him. This time, I got him.
