Bluebells are one of my favorite spring wildflowers. We have some locations in the area that turn the early spring woods a glaze of soft blue due to the numbers of this flower blooming together.

I captured this photograph of a bluebird box at a nearby State Game Lands very early on in my photography days. I could never figure out how to present it. Years later, after applying several texture layers it takes on a painterly quality that I really went for.
