I wanted to create a photograph in Ricketts Glen State Park that captured the essence of what it is like to hike the Falls Trail. I think this one fits the bill. The trail follows along Kitchen Creek and affords views of approaching waterfalls one after another. 21 in all.
On a hike up Glen Leigh in Ricketts Glen State Park, I spotted this interesting cascade. I got down very low in the stream and using a wide angle lens, captured this perspective. I love the white lines shooting out on the sides like lightning.
Located on Eagle Creek in the Columbia River Gorge, Metlako Falls plunges 233 glorious feet down through moss and trees. I was so focused on Punchbowl Falls on my trip that this one took me completely by surprise.
