Whoever came up with the idea for lady slipper orchids knew what they were doing. This Pink Lady from Marienville, PA was given some texture layers in Photoshop to create something that looks a lot better on a canvas than it does on a computer screen.
I found a spot that was covered in Hawkweed blooms. Using a telephoto lens, I deliberately made the flowers out of focus and found an area where the yellow blooms transitioned to orange blooms...
Even the most common wildflowers are beautiful. This is "just" a red clover growing alongside the road.
